Kelli Wilkinson

About me

Hi, I'm Kelli and I’m a trainer in the pop-up Liverpool Academy. I've been in the beauty industry since 1999. I trained in media makeup in 2001 with Brushstroke Make Up Academy at Shepperton Studios, which jumpstarted my make up career. I went to live in London and started working as a makeup artist on the Channel 5 soap Family Affairs. Since then, I have worked on many soaps and TV Shows, such as Brookside, The Bill and Holby City. During my career I've had the pleasure of having numerous celebrities in my chair, from sports personalities to Idris Elba!  

When I trained in HD Brows and Nouveau Lashes in 2013, I took these treatments to the TV sets and was able to perform lashes and brows in the makeup trucks. I landed a permanent position for Hollyoaks in 2014, which brought me back to Liverpool. I was a resident brow, lash and makeup artist there for 10 years.  I became an HD Brows and Nouveau Lashes Trainer in 2019. I love seeing a student come into my training academy feeling nervous and leaving super excited about their new lash and brow skills. We have so many students from different backgrounds, and it is a pleasure to be a part of someone's journey into a new career. 

My top treatment tip

Build a rapport with your clients and you have a friend for life!  With brow treatments, spend the time in your design and then everything else will fall into place.
