My name is Romy, and I am the proud owner of Romy Olivia Brows. Since 2013, I have been deeply involved in the beauty industry, starting my journey in college and then joining a local salon. This experience eventually inspired me to take the leap into self-employment.
While I initially offered a variety of beauty services, I made the significant decision in 2019 to focus exclusively on brow artistry. Specialising in brows has been one of the most rewarding choices of my career. I find immense joy in my work and love interacting with a diverse range of clients. There’s something incredibly fulfilling about helping people feel more confident in their appearance.
My favourite part of the job is designing brows that spark curiosity, making strangers or friends wonder if they are naturally beautiful or professional styled.
On a personal note, I have a few unique traits that make me who I am. You’ll often find me with a Monster energy drink in hand, as I prefer it over coffee or tea. I also enjoy playing The Sims, where I create imaginative worlds as a fun escape from everyday life. Additionally, I have a strong passion for learning, constantly seeking new training opportunities to refine my skills and learn new things.
One of my proudest moments has been gaining recognition within the industry, something I never anticipated. My passion for my work has always been my primary motivation, but having well-known brands like HD Brows and Solo express interest in collaborating with me is truly the highest form of praise.

If I had the opportunity to let everyone try just half of what I use, I’m confident they would eagerly enrol onto the HD Brows course. Choosing a favourite among all the products is challenging, but one essential item I can't live without is Vanish. This finishing product has become irreplaceable for me; it effectively removes any residue left on the skin after waxing, mapping, or tinting, making it the perfect solution for prepping the skin for the final touches. Beyond its effectiveness, Vanish also has a beautiful clean smell. I genuinely find it hard to imagine my routine without it, as it truly elevates the quality of my work.
The HD Brow Glue and Brow Highlighter duo is truly my all-time favourite. I can’t imagine going a day without the Brow Glue and pairing it with a subtle highlight underneath is simply perfection. The Brow Glue is a total game changer. It strikes the ideal balance between a brow gel and hairspray, providing incredible hold. I use it on every client, and the number of people I’ve converted to this product is remarkable. You really can’t beat this natural combination! It’s the ultimate way to achieve beautifully defined brows that last all day.
My top recommendation for treatments is to start by listening to the client. I always ask them what they dislike first, as this approach helps me gain insight into their ideal results. By understanding their preferences, I can delve deeper into their personal style and daily routines to identify the most suitable treatment for them. This technique serves as an excellent conversation starter. In my experience, about 90% of clients respond to the question, "What do you like when it comes to brows?" with a vague, "I don't know, whatever you think is best." While it's clear they trust my expertise, it's essential to remember that they are the ones who will wear the brows. By focusing on what they don't like, I can quickly narrow down the options, such as avoiding overly thin or thick shapes and steering clear of colours that are too dark or too light. This method not only demonstrates my commitment to understanding their needs but also enhances the overall consultation experience. By actively listening to their concerns, I can create a tailored approach that reflects their desires, ultimately leading to a more satisfying outcome.

Perfection may not come on your first attempt, and that's perfectly normal; we all had to start somewhere. Focus on being dedicated and giving your best effort. Make sure to capture plenty of photos, as a compelling before-and-after showcase is essential for promoting your services. This not only helps in advertising but also serves as a reminder of your progress. If you were to see my initial work compared to what I produce now, you might cringe, but growth is part of the journey.
