About me

I’m Kelly — 33 years old, proud crazy cat lady, and a true crime and horror enthusiast (yes, weird, I know!) .

My journey into the beauty industry started with a passion for media makeup, but everything changed when I took a lash course with Nouveau Lashes — I was instantly hooked. I worked in a brow bar for years before taking the leap to start my own small business.

Driven by my perfectionism (a blessing and a curse!), I eventually decided to take the leap and launch my own business: The Lash Place. It’s been the most rewarding adventure, allowing me to bring creativity, precision, and personality into every set of lashes.

I recently completed my Level 3 in Education and Training, fulfilling a long-time goal of becoming a trainer. I genuinely love helping others grow and succeed, and I’m excited to bring that same energy into the next phase of my career.

Before & After by Kelly Booth

My key achievements

Building a fully booked lash and brow business.

Recently I received a qualification that enables me to teach my passion to others. Becoming a trainer has always been something I wanted to do.

Why I chose Nouveau Lashes

They’re the first brand I ever used because I trained with them and I’ve never looked back.

The quality of their products are unmatched and I absolutely love them, I’ve never been disappointed so I’ve continued to use them years down the line.

My favourite pro product

SVS lashes for sure. They’re so fluffy and easy to use.

My favourite retail product

Myself and my clients absolutely love the Triple Enhance Lash Serum. Using this alongside LVL is a game changer.

Top treatment tip

It’s better to take your time and deliver high-quality work than to rush and produce a lot of quantity. Your clients will appreciate the effort and attention to detail.

If you’re a newbie in the lash industry, lash tape will be your best friend. It will help so much when you’re doing lash extensions, helping isolate the lashes and getting 100% coverage not to mention those annoying inner corner lashes.

Advice for starting in the beauty industry

Don’t compare yourself to anyone else, you’re on your own journey. Consistency is key, practice really does make perfect. Keep going even when it feels like you’re not accomplishing your goals. Stay positive and always believe in yourself. Building a business takes time and dedication, try and stand out from everyone else, your clients will remember you from the experience they received.
